Yale Club of British Columbia is pleased to announce the successful presentation of the inaugural Yale Book Award in British Columbia.
The Yale Book Award is a longstanding tradition through which Yale alumni communities around the world recognize outstanding high school students for their intellectual curiosity, leadership, character, and potential. This year marks the first year the program has been introduced in British Columbia.
The 2026 Yale Book Award recipient at Collingwood School is Ava Wong-Frick. On behalf of Yale Club of British Columbia, Club President Louisa Chen attended the school's awards ceremony and presented the award in person.
Bringing the Yale Book Award to British Columbia marks an important milestone for the Club and its efforts to strengthen connections between Yale alumni, local schools, and students across the province. We are grateful to our partners at Collingwood School, the Yale Alumni Association, and local alumni volunteers whose support made this inaugural year possible.
Yale Club of British Columbia looks forward to growing the program in future years and working with schools across the province to recognize exceptional students and encourage academic excellence, leadership, and community engagement.
